A Little About Me
One person. Five distinct voices. One independent intellectual journal.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been curious about how things work, how decisions are made, and why people and systems behave the way they do—even if the specific questions occupying my attention have evolved over time.
Technology and systems architecture have been central to my professional life, but my curiosity has never stayed neatly inside corporate or technical boundaries. I like understanding how complex structures hold together, questioning default assumptions, and examining what happens when abstract theories collide with real-world messiness.
That inclination has led me across several distinct pursuits: software engineering and intelligent systems, cinema and storytelling craft, motorcycling on the open highway, and the social conventions and contradictions of human behaviour.
The Origin: From Mein Blog to an Independent Journal
This website is not a sudden reinvention; it is the natural evolution of an online writing journey that began in September 2005 on my original blog, Mein Blog.
Back then, my Blogger profile summed me up with typical irreverence as a “mildly educated, whiner, reluctant writer, day dreamer and an aspiring cook,” whose listed interests revolved around long rides, non-fiction, and TV series. Over years of regular writing, that platform gathered a dedicated readership—recording 24,934 followers on the original profile before I eventually transitioned to building this independent home.
The subjects I explored there were candid and wide-ranging: examining gender dynamics and social expectations, probing emotional maturity and relationship conventions, questioning cultural assumptions and the obsession with fairness, and reflecting on family experiences, personal absurdities, and everyday hypocrisies with self-deprecating humour. That willingness to question accepted conventions and write in an unvarnished personal voice remains the foundation of everything published here.
Why an Independent Publication?
Building this independent home grew out of a simple conviction: our creative and intellectual lives rarely fit neatly inside a single resume, corporate profile, or social media algorithm. When we segment our thinking into artificial silos, we lose the unexpected connections between how an engineering system behaves, how a film director frames emotional tension, or what a long ride through changing terrain reveals about patience and clarity.
Over nearly two decades of writing, I’ve found that the most honest work happens when you write without the need to optimise for fleeting engagement or conform to a single expected persona. Having distinct spaces allows each interest to breathe and develop in its own natural register—whether that is rigorous architectural analysis, candid cultural criticism, cinematic craft, or reflections from the road.
An Independent Space
This website is my personal publication. The opinions, essays, experiments, and perspectives shared here are entirely my own and should not be taken as representing an employer, client, or any organisation.
I’m still learning, still questioning, and still finding new things worth exploring. This site is an ongoing record of that process rather than a claim to have arrived at a final destination.
